Why didn't the Indian Navy attempt to rescue the Indian civilian sailors held hostage for nearly three years during the MV Iceberg 1 (2010) hijacking?
Six Indian sailors were held hostage by Somali pirates for nearly three years, yet there was no rescue attempt by India. Was it due to legal constraints, operational limitations, or simply a lack of political will? Considering the Indian Navy's anti-piracy presence in the region, why wasn't a military rescue even attempted? It was an ill equipped somali police militia operation supported by PMCs who finally rescued them.....
