My gf keeps asking me for money and I can't say No. Please HELP! I really need it. (M27)

So I'll try to explain my situation as clearly as I can.(Used ai a few times for some lines)

I am working a regular job. My finances have never really been good. Ever since I started my career I was bad with money. I never saved properly. Only in the last year or so I started getting serious with SIPs, some stocks, trying to build something. But I still end every month with barely anything left in my account. Sometimes 4 digits, sometimes 3. Living in a metro with rent, commute, food, it takes a lot of money.

And from next month I have a home loan EMI kicking in which is going to be roughly 50% of my new salary. I recently got a new job offer with better pay but I might have to buy out the remaining months at my current company, which means a big one-time expense coming up. I have no savings buffer right now. Zero. I can't even send money home to my parents and as the eldest son that bothers me a lot even though they don't ask for it.

My girlfriend has been asking me for money almost every month. It's not a huge amount sometimes 500, sometimes 1000, sometimes 2000-3000. But at my level, 1k-2k genuinely matters.

Her situation is genuinely rough. Her dad lost his job last month. She's preparing for a competitive exam so she can't switch jobs right now. She has a loan she's paying entirely by herself. Whatever little she saves, her dad sometimes takes it for household expenses without telling her for what and why. She didn't ask to be in this situation and I know she feels terrible every time she has to ask me. She doesn't do it happily.

I never say no. Even when I'm left with almost nothing. Because I know she genuinely needs it and she wouldn't ask otherwise.

But here's the thing - she's said this when there were no trouble like this that she hates when people give money and then bring it up later to hold over someone. So I can't even bring it up without making her feel worse. She's already stressed about her dad, her exam, her loan. She knows I'm struggling too but if talk about this, I feel like I'm just adding to her burden.

And on top of all this, I'm not always emotionally available the way she needs me to be. That's just how I'm wired. So sometimes I think — okay, I can't give her what she needs emotionally in that moment, at least the money helps. So I give it even when I really can't afford to.

We're not married yet. We've talked about it. But honestly, the way things are going — her family situation, the financial dependency, the fact that her dad's problems seem to have no end — I'm scared. I'm not saying her family is a burden. Her dad is probably doing the best he can. But I'm looking at this and thinking, if I'm struggling this much now before marriage, what happens after?

I really care about her. But I'm exhausted and scared and I don't know what the right thing to do is. Please help!
