Wednesday, three weeks ago, was the day for me as I finally received this thing: the 512gb oled deck!

And while I was at it, I also got the new Steam Controller (eBay) and the Jsaux HB0609B docking station!

I intended to get it last year, but plans changed and I ultimately got punished the hard way as I bought it after the price increase (thx FOMO!).

Still, I don't regret it. It's a solid device and suits my needs just fine: play on the go or in the living room where my family is vs locking myself up, alone, in my own little room.

And as the first photo in this post suggests, I dipped my toes into the retro gaming world. The Atari 2600 was my first console back in 1988 though the SNES has a special place in my heart.

This is my first experience with Emudeck and I must say I am not disappointed! I think it's great that there is a thing called Retro Achievements which allows you to get achievements for these kind of games.

Am currently playing Super Mario World. A Link To The Past is next (I love the colours and art style of that game).

With this new stuff in place, I'd like to try out some new games on the deck so hit me with your recommendations!

I am especially into tycoon, simulation or management ganes like Two Point Hospital/Campus/Museum, Hotel Architect and Project Hospital. I have tried Oxygen Not Included but was blown away by its complexity and depth. I still intend to give that one another go one day.

Am happy I finally took the step and hope I will get a lot out of it!

I might look into customizing the UI soon. Any other recommendations or "must-haves"?

What took me so long?
