Do Europeans actually dislike America and Americans or is it something that only exists online and is amplified by the internet?

Asking this as someone that has no involvement on either side as i'm Australian. I like the look of large American houses, while watching videos on the houses all the comments are filled with negative comments about how America and Americans are inferior in every way to Europeans in construction, lifestyle and generally just below them. I want to ask anyone here that is European or American if they have any ideas on the topic or if they have experienced this firsthand. Or is it really just something that exists online?
