Product Review

When I checked the QC photos, I noticed a very small issue with the stamping alignment.

That said, since this is a handmade leather product, minor imperfections are pretty normal. I’m not a perfectionist, so I was fine with it.

Overall, the craftsmanship looks very good. The bag is made from high-quality crocodile leather with a nice texture. Leo also shared reference samples during the process, and everything seems consistent with what we discussed.

Seller Experience

Leo seems to run his own workshop and is usually busy during the day, so he mainly replies at night. Communication has been consistent, usually within 24 hours.

From my experience, he is detail-oriented and responsible, which made the whole custom process more reassuring.

Shipping & Risk

The most stressful part was shipping.

I didn’t buy additional shipping insurance. From what I understand, for high-value cross-border custom orders, insurance is either not available or extremely expensive (around $1,000–$3,000), so I skipped it.

Leo suggested self-pickup in Hong Kong or Guangzhou to reduce risk, but I chose to ship it directly to Europe.

Question

Has anyone dealt with similar high-value cross-border custom orders? How do you usually handle shipping risk when insurance is too expensive or not available?
