Matching a Noise Color to the Ringing Noise in Ear Pitch Made It Easier
I spent a while figuring out which sound actually covers my ringing noise in ear instead of just adding more noise.
None of this is a treatment, masking simply helps me notice ringing noise in ear less, and it is not medical advice, so see a doctor or audiologist for anything new or persistent. The thing that clicked was matching the noise color to the pitch, since a mask that sits right on the ringing hides it far better than something random. My ringing is high and thin, so the brighter blue and violet noises tuck it away, while a lower hum needs brown or pink. Calm and quiet is the goal, never loud.
Match the color to the pitch, gently.
I use an app called Mindael because it lets me move smoothly across the full noise color range until one lands right on my pitch, then save that exact setting. Mindael keeps the loop seamless so the ringing does not slip back through a gap.

Finding the right color to sit on your pitch is worth the few minutes. Mindael made that simple, and again this is not medical advice. Which color matches yours?
