How/What is an effective way to hide a power strip cord running from underside of desk to outlet?

I mounted my power strip and have all my stuff attached to it, and hidden in various cable management runners and ties, but how do I hide the power strip cable that runs to the outlet? I tried attaching it to the leg, but there is too much slack when I have the desk lowered, and when I raise it, the slack tightens, thus preventing hiding it in cable runs attach to the table leg/wall as it would most likely pull out of said cable runs.
