Talk me out of contacting him!

He broke up with me two weeks ago after 8 months. We are both in out early 30s and he didn’t feel that certainty he was looking for although always dreamed of a relationship like ours and he he loved me deeply. So he decided to end it so I can be with someone who is able truly value me. I had issues with the way things were but tryed to love him despite his “imperfections”. He said he want me in my life as a friend, I agreed, it would be a big loss for both of us to say goodbye forever, so I asked for no contact to be able to process my feelings. I long for him soooo much and I just want to know what he is up to but I know it would be a mistake to reach out, it’s been only two weeks. Please give me reasons to stay strong!
