Drug problems in the industry

What up y’all, I have been a bartender for going on 14 years. 17 years total in the industry, and I wanted to see if anyone is working in the same environments.

Since Covid, I have noticed a major shift in substance use behind the bar. Granted we’ve always been notorious for drinking and smoking the herb, but as of late it seems most the people I’m working with are coked up or meth’d out.

Like angry outbursts, shady shit, and extremely hostile environments, etc.

I work a range of environments, from a dive, a distillery, and 2 high end restaurants.

It seems almost worse in the high end spots than it does in the dives to be honest too.

Am I a lone wolf in keeping old school with the bud and beers?

Honestly would love to hear opinions and experiences.
