Is focusing just on ET too risky?

I have a decent cg(8.5+) which I think would be enough not to cause any problem in placement/si, but when I saw the SI chronicles, I was shocked to see that only 15 students got ET SI, so is it too risky to focus just on et placements or should I learn DSA side by side?

What I thought was, I'll just focus on ET for 3-1 and 3-2 and if I don't feel confident for placements I'll just start coding during the summer after 3-2 and sit for both IT and ET placements.

Is it too risky to learn DSA in 3 months or should I grind DSA side by side in my 3rd year?
