Why are all the Catholics i encounter so mean

Im not saying Catholics are bad. But every one i encounter is mean. Sure I have a bit of dark humor, and im very hyper fixed on pokemon, but I feel left out. I've joined a lot of catholic youth groups. Always got left out and shamed. Every. Single. Time. Even in middle school when for a short time I was trans (not anymore) I went to a youth group to make friends. One of them saw i had a trans pin, and immediately they all bullied and harassed me. Literally ive never had a catholic friend. Is there something wrong with me? Am I the one messing up??
