IEMS or other EMT-B work opportunities?

I’m a student looking to work as an EMT during the school year. For anyone who currently works for IEMS or has in the past—what is the pay like and would you recommend working at IEMS as an EMT?

And otherwise, what other job opportunities have you guys found for EMT work around the Champagne/Urbana area? I’ve heard that Carle and OSF are some of the main nearby hospitals with possible ER tech work opportunities. If anyone has experience working at those hospitals (or other hospitals nearby UIUC) please share your experience and how the pay was! Or if anyone has worked for ambulance companies nearby campus during the school year as an EMT please feel free to share your experiences!!
