Opinions on flock cameras?
For the past few months, I've been seeing flock cameras pop up EVERYWHERE in my city, and it's been very sudden. One week there's nothing, next week there's 3 cameras in the same spot. It's freaking me out about privacy/4th amendment, especially with the incorporation of AI into the surveillance, and the (supposed) proposed update to allow audio recording. Even in small cities with very little crime, I always see new cameras popping up. Have any of you also noticed, and if so, have you organized around it? Should preventing mas surveillance and data scraping (especially with the rise of AI) be a top priority?
In case any of you don't know what I'm talking about: you've likely seen them. It's a pole with a solar panel on top and a camera on the side of the pole.
