Haven’t updated my RedMagic 11 Pro — are updates actually making phones worse?

I’ve had my RedMagic 11 Pro for about a month now, and I still haven’t updated the system software. Everything is working fine so far, but I keep hearing people say that after updating, issues start showing up—like bugs, performance drops, or other problems.

I might be wrong, but I feel like sometimes updates actually make phones worse over time. It almost feels like developers introduce changes that slow the phone down or make it wear out faster.

Because of this, I’ve been hesitant to update.
