Engagement gift dilemma.

Hi friends, this is my first post here. I am an architect working in GCC (Middle East). I am getting engaged next month and planning to gift my Fiancé (she is in Delhi) something of Gold. We have rings for each other, I also purchased some bangles a few months back, from GCC.

I want the gift to be Gold but there is no compulsion that the gift has to be in jewellery format. I want to gift her gold bars. I am confused on how to proceed because, our government has imposed fresh duties on Gold, which means, lets say I want to get 10 grams MMTC Bar, there is at least 60k INR difference from the bar in India and GCC. But if I am to purchase bars from GCC and travel to India, I have to declare it at the customs, and pay 6%?

Does anyone have a better idea and wisdom to share? I a bit confused and I am sure there are very wise friends here to help me out. I appreciate every advice from the bottom of my heart, have a lovely week ahead!
