Returning to the world with a disability - what strategies should I use to feel safe and comfortable?

I’m a quadruple amputee after meningitis, and I’m trying to figure out how to return to everyday life in a way that feels safe, comfortable, and independent.

One of my goals is to go to university and be able to spend time on campus solo. I’ve already contacted the university support team and I have a PA, so I’m not really looking for advice about formal accommodations. I’m more looking for practical and emotional strategies.

I’m sorry this is quite vague but hopefully you get what I mean!
