“UPDATE” wearing your country’s jersey to a USA game?

So I didn’t end up wearing it to the USA game but I went in my Norway jersey to a bar instead with some friends. I’m a 21 Year old women so I thought people may go easier on me for that reason too but that was not the case. The amount of American men my age that came up and said fuck you in my face or gave me the finger was just to much. I didn’t except it at all because even in Europe I’ve never experienced that before.

I ended up going home because it was just too much and people were laughing at me as well and I just decided to not wear the jersey again.

Why do people act like this?
