I've been building Ironflow and with Update 0.3.0 — a complete rebuild of the

production chain — it felt like the right time to share it here.

\*\*What is Ironflow?\*\*

A factory-builder idle game where you place extractors, connect processing

factories through ports, and optimize production chains from raw ore to complex

machines. Think Satisfactory-lite but idle — build the chain, walk away, come

back to money.

\*\*What's in the game:\*\*

\- 5 production tiers: raw resources → base materials → components → assemblies → end products

\- 78 resources, 73 recipes, 35 end products (T5: turbines, plasma chambers, nuclear reactors)

\- Per-zone power system — each zone manages its own energy budget

\- Research tree: unlock buildings by meeting prerequisites

\- Auto-sell toggle per building

\- Visual port connection system — drag links between output and input ports

\- Auto-save

\*\*Update 0.3.0 highlights:\*\*

\- Complete production tree rebuild

\- Graphite as its own T2 material (Coal + Silicon)

\- Per-zone power replaced the old global pool

\- Bug fixes: research menu duplicates, accidental zone deletion, power scaling on upgrades

\*\*Play it free:\*\* [https://gearforge-games.itch.io/ironflow](https://gearforge-games.itch.io/ironflow)

\*\*AI disclosure\*\*

Built with significant help from Claude (Anthropic) for code generation and UI.

Game concept, design decisions, content, and all editorial choices are mine (solo dev).

Happy to answer questions about the production chain design or the tech stack (PyQt6).
