I feel like DMK gets a lot of hate from certain dominant communities in Tamil Nadu, especially in Kongu regions and among southern Thevar groups, and a big part of it seems tied to Stalin belonging to the Isai Vellalar (a minority MBC caste).

At the same time, Tamil Nadu politics often looks heavily influenced by caste dynamics rather than just policies. Leaders get supported or opposed based on identity as much as governance.

Recently, I’ve also noticed a shift in media visibility. Seeman and Annamalai, who were very prominent earlier, now seem to have very little presence. BJP also appears less aggressive in the state compared to before, especially after Vijay’s rise with TVK.

This makes me wonder whether these changes are organic or part of some broader political strategy. Has the media narrative changed intentionally, or is this just how political cycles work?

Also, I came across news that the TVK-led government is planning ID cards for school students with Caste hierarchy? . Tamil Nadu has largely moved away from caste surnames, and I’m concerned this could end up reinforcing caste identity again and possibly increase tensions or violence.

What do you all think about this shift in politics and media?

DMK hatered in TN Politics is purely organic? or influenced by TamBram Lobby ?
