Fanxiang S880 SSD SLC!?

I bought a 1 TB Fanxiang S880 from ebay. I was planning to replace my daughter's 512G ssd in her Asus Xenbook. I was VERY surprised when I ran VLO tools and discovered that the nand is SLC. Is anyone familiar with Macronix?
