Is the term "Incel" an oxymoron?

The term incel is used a lot and while I did learn what it's derived from (Involuntary Celibate) I've been thinking about that phrase recently and I wonder if it would be considered an oxymoron. This is because at least to my knowledge, the act of celibacy is a voluntary one by definition, thus someone being an "involuntary celibate" makes no sense to me
