This happened to someone I know and I can't decide who's in the wrong.

Discussion

They were at a place that only had valet parking. After the valet returned the car, he stood there waiting, so they checked their wallets for cash. The only note they had was ₹20.

He took it, looked at it, handed it back and said, "You keep it."

That honestly caught me off guard when I heard it. I know people usually tip valets, but I didn't think there was a minimum amount where it's somehow better to refuse it.

Is this just how it is now at these places, or was the valet being unnecessarily entitled?
