AITH for letting AI write my part of a group project when everyone else did theirs manually?

So I’m in a group project, and we split the work evenly. I had a ton of other deadlines, so instead of writing my section from scratch, I used an AI tool to draft it and then edited it to sound like me.

We submitted everything, and the professor didn’t notice anything weird. But one of my teammates found out and said I “cheated” and made the group look dishonest. From my perspective, I still put in effort I edited, formatted, and made sure it fit the project. It wasn’t like I copied someone else’s work.

Now the group is split: some think I was smart for saving time, others think I crossed a line.

AITH for leaning on AI when everyone else did it the hard way?
