I sometimes wonder how ironic hiring processes can be.

Recruiter: *"Based on your background, we think you'd be a strong fit for this role!"*

Me: "Wow, nice. Let me apply."

*Completes the application.*
*Takes the AI interview.*
*Answers the exercises confidently.*
*Waits patiently...*

Then...BOOM!!!!

DID NOT QUALIFY

Excuse me... wasn't you the one who invited me? 😂

What was the point of sending an invitation if I apparently never met the criteria in the first place?

At least "Not Selected" would make sense—it tells me I was considered but someone else was a better fit.

"Did not qualify" after you invited me?

That's like a restaurant calling you in for a free buffet and then telling you at the door NO!! you're not hungry enough. 😭

Anyway, here's my honest suggestion.

It would really help if companies sent a short explanation after the process via Email. Something like:

* Your CV didn't meet a critical requirement.
* The client required experience with a specific domain or timezone.
* Another candidate performed better.
* Your interview or exercise score didn't meet the cutoff.

I'd happily accept any of those. Rejection isn't the problem—lack of feedback is. A simple explanation helps candidates improve instead of leaving them guessing.

After all, not every antelope interests the lion... but at least let the antelope know why it wasn't today's meal. WANTAM!😄

You invited me... just to tell me I didn't qualify? 😂
