Does Catholicism place more emphasis on sin, or on love and redemption?

In my experience so far as a Catholic Candidate, it seems like both somewhat equally.

I know certain evangelical protestant traditions are obsessed with sin, so I'd like to know generally where Roman Catholicism stands. Don't get me wrong, I think it's important. But Christ's love and His victory over sin are what get me into the pews.
