California AR9 Pistol Thoughts

Looking to build a my first AR (CA compliant AR9 Pistol) and would appreciate any insights or thoughts on the build list before I get started. I'm going with a AR9 to build the fundamentals and have the flexibility to go 556 in the future without having to buy another gun

Mil spec Pistol Lower (SSE)

  • Mil spec LPK (no grip or trigger)
  • Rise Armament Rave PCC Trigger
  • BCM Mod4 or DAC SCG grip

AR Maglock / Kingpin / PAL System + 10rd Endomags ejector style (CA Compliance)

A5 K-SPEC Gentle Recoil System + SBA5 Brace

PSA PA-9 Gen4 10.5" 9mm Complete Upper

  • Barrel Length: 10.5"

  • Muzzle Device: PSA Fluted Flash Can

  • Handguard Type: PSA 12" Lightweight Hex Full Picatinny M-Lok Free Float Rail

  • Bolt Included: Yes, (Gen 4, Hybrid)

  • Charging Handle Included: Yes

Questions -

  1. Will this work and be CA compliant?
  2. Will the PSA Upper and a mil spec lower offer a LRBHO?
  3. I've read that hybrid bcg's can have issues with endomags (hence why PSA cannot guarantee function). Do I need to use a Glock or Colt BCG?
