Losing friends due to chore based systems

Critics:critics:

I know im not the only person who's experienced burn out in a game. Especially when it comes to Stalzone. I'm wondering why the devs and game directors keep going in the direction of turning the "game" into a chore.

Is the primary goal of this game not to collect mass amounts of resources and money while finding new and interesting guns and equipment to do it with?

Why does every update intend to slow that down or skew the systems we get comfortable with.

I'm primarily speaking for myself as someone who's played the game from the very first initial launch to NA back when pre master gear was the only system available and clan wars was not a thing. But why of all things they do; Do they not just make open world fun again. I have yet to see any news about solo content. Which is a primary deciding factor for any mmos survival. I do not know anyone aside from one group who always has someone else to go and do stuff with. Solo content is the basis of the game and when you lock 70% of the game behind group content or shear CBT it doesn't make any sense for a casual player or even a veteran player to stick around.

Which is basically what's happening to my friend group.

Everyone's burning out and leaving the game or getting so fed up with how the game is working that they change faction and play in the zerg so they dont have to play how exbo is wanting them to...

It might be time to hang up the towel but we all know damn well this darn game has its hooks in all of us. It would just be nice to see some qol to actually make the torture more bearable.
