House lizard poo everywhere...

Tried using vinegar spray to deter them from pooping everywhere. worked for a while but then they started breeding at an astronomical pace and stopped being bothered by the smell. windows stay mostly closed because of the heatwave, so dust is less of a problem now but I'm so sick of cleaning lizard poop. I read the chemical spray repellents aren't as good and could be harmful to humans if used for prolonged period of time, don't know should I go for one anyways? has anyone here successfully got rid of house lizards before? there is also a lot of cockroaches and we have been trying to get rid of them too, roaches are less now but the geckos are getting out of hand
