Built a Rental Management Startup Instead of Another Food Delivery or AI App, Looking for Honest Founder Feedback.
Hey founders ๐
I'm building Roomy, a startup focused on solving problems that begin after someone moves into a rented place.
While there are plenty of platforms to help people find accommodation, I noticed there wasn't a single product that helped people manage everything that comes next.
So I started building Roomy.
Today, the platform lets users:
- Track monthly rent
- Split expenses with roommates
- Manage bills and recurring expenses
- Store rental information securely
- Discover nearby mess & tiffin services
- Manage mess subscriptions
On the B2B side, we're also building tools for PGs, hostels and mess owners to manage tenants, occupancy, rent collection and daily operations.
The vision is to become the operating system for rental living in India.
Right now, I'm focusing on validation rather than revenue, so I'm trying to get as much real user feedback as possible before scaling.
I'd genuinely love feedback from fellow founders on a few things:
- Does this feel like a problem worth solving?
- Would you focus on B2C first or build the B2B side alongside it?
- If you were in my position, what would be your growth strategy for the next 6 months?
- What's one mistake you'd avoid at this stage?
I'd really appreciate honest feedback, even if it's critical. Those comments usually help the most.
Thanks!
