Hello everyone!

For context I am using a macbook air M1 with an xbox series controller.

I like many of you was experiencing many issues with using a controller after the most recent update. Instead of rolling back the game version I figured out an alternative that works (Mostly, you have to do some mild remapping to get menu navigation to work).

Step one:

\- enable steam input by right clicking on the game in your steam library, go to properties -> controller and enable the setting

Step two:

\- connect your controller via bluetooth and go to the controller configurator (link to that menu is also in the controller section of the preferences

step three:

\- click onto the button layout and download the "WASD Isaac Controller (Compatibility Fix)" community layout. Set the layout as active

step 4 (optional, to be able to menu with the controller)

\- once you set the new layout go to edit layout and remap either A B X Y or the d-pad to the arrow keys (i chose A B X Y because i like to fire tears with those buttons)

When you load the game it will say unrecognised gamepad but just ignore this and start up a run.

Hope this helps :)

P.s. I have not tested this with other controllers however i presume that because its the steam input it should still work with things like playstation or switch.
