So is this Battlefront 2 abandoned or something

I tried to play this recently and Noone plays objectives in supremacy, heroes and villains is pretty much unplayable considering i keep getting matched with maxed out opponents and the rebel special characters are bunz. I swear when I tried playing this 2 years ago the game was the same exact way. Is there no updates? Also what keeps you guys coming back to this game. I kinda hate this game because it's trash in comparison to the OG but I also like supremacy just enough to come back after a couple years. Also, I can't be the only one that hates lightsaber combat in this game, maybe I feel that way because of jedi academy.
