Question regarding recovery emails For older accounts I don't really use.

So I have a couple accounts, two of them were old accounts that didn't have anything on them and I used one for social media before I switched them email of the social media, but I do have both of them set up with a recovery email. I also may want to delete them and stuff but I wanted to know should I take of them emails I used as those accounts recovery emails, since some people have told me that if I deleted the account and it has a recovery email that the recovery email also gets deleted. I also switched the recovery email from gmail to another service if anyone was wondering. If anyone can help me out on this I would really appreciate it since I not really great wig this stuff.
