🚨 Telangana Tragedy: Pregnant Woman Dies by Suicide After Alleged Harassment Over Unborn Child's Paternity

A heartbreaking case has emerged from Motukapalli village in Telangana's Medak district, where a 23-year-old pregnant woman allegedly died by suicide after facing continuous harassment from her husband and in-laws.

The deceased, Susmitha, had married Abhilash, a resident of Gadipeddapur village, around 18 months ago.

According to police and local sources, the couple initially lived peacefully, but their relationship reportedly deteriorated in recent months due to frequent disputes.

Investigators say Susmitha's husband, Abhilash, and her mother-in-law, Shashirekha, allegedly subjected her to repeated physical and mental harassment while questioning her character.

Police further allege that after Susmitha became pregnant, her husband claimed the unborn child was not his and repeatedly demanded a DNA test, placing her under severe emotional distress.

Unable to bear the alleged harassment, Susmitha reportedly died by suicide at her home on Thursday night.

The tragedy also claimed the life of her unborn child.

Following a complaint lodged by Susmitha's mother, Janabai, Alladurgam Police registered a case against the accused and launched an investigation.

Police are now examining the allegations, collecting evidence and recording statements to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.
