Using the S2000 with only solar panels to power 2 2500 GPH Intex pool pumps
Just received my S2000 and here's what I would like to set it up. I just don't I would go about doing it or if it's even possible.
We have a 7.2 KWh solar grid tied set up.
We have a steel frame pool that I would like to power with an off grid system using the S2000 as a back up battery. Reason for doing this is in comparing the cost of running a line from the main breaker is going to cost about the about the same as setting it up as an off grid system. We do have a 9 KWh backup battery for the house. However, during our last power outage, I realized we had the wrong circuits backed up. Another use for the S2000 is to bring it in the house when there's a power outage to power the devices that aren't on the back up circuits.
From what I've read, the pool pumps consume about 300-400 watts of power. I have 2 pumps that I would run consecutively at 2-3 hours each.
Since the solar charge port can only charge up to a max of 400 watts, can I set up solar panels to run the pumps and have the S2000 only kick in when there's not enough sun? I'm also planning on using the S2000 to power an outdoor TV and other relatively low power consuming electronics.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around energy consumption.
I have enough space for about 6-100 Watt panels.
Will 600 watts of panels be sufficient to accomplish what I'm planning?
Also, is this even possible to set up with the S2000?
If so, what additional equipment will I need to purchase?
Let me know if you need more info. I'm sure I'm missing something.
Thank you in advance for your help.
