PS portal as secondary PS5?

Question

I have an xbox series x on the lounge and xbox series s on the basement area both lounge and basement have a cheap old LG 65" LED TV. When I am playing on the xbox series, I can go to the basement to play if the lounge is occupied. With Gamepass it is seamless I can play whichever console and continue gaming where I left off.

I am now enjoying PS5 disc and I only have the console on the lounge. I am originally planning on getting another PS5 on the basement whether it's disc or digital only but the pricing is way too high even second hand. I am now considering a second hand PS portal as it seems I could simply remote play what I was playing on the PS5.

I have no intention of using Cloud Gaming. I only want to use remote play since I literally only need a way to continue playing PS5 where there is no console in whatever place in the house.

Is 8" screen of PS Portal immersive enough? I literally let go of my Legion Go because I found 8.8" too restrictive but I was thinking this could be due to horrendous Windows scaling on some games ie fonts too small etc. is PS portal different? I am 46 and I am having a hard time using devices too close as it gets blurry for me due to old eyes that I need to push the screen away from me making the 8.8" screen of Legion Go too small for me.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers.
