Pluribus: Are we sure about additional acting Emmy nominations for the show?
So I've just finished Pluribus (I know I'm late), and honestly, as much as I liked the show, I'm not sure acting-wise there is much to reward, outside Seehorn and maybe Wydra. I'm pretty shocked by the Vesga mentions, since he is absent most of the time, and when he is on air, it's just simply not an Emmy-worthy performance (don't get me wrong, he does his part all right, I just don't think there is much for him material-wise). He's in the most crowed category with plenty of strong contenders from The Pitt, there is also Crudup, Lowden, Pelphrey, Marsden, Elliott maybe even Elordi (rising star).
As of the guest contenders, Jeff Hiller was lovely in his 2 minutes of screen-time, but really? Shor's significance comes from Rhea's performance and reactions, not the actual performance by Shor, and other than Schutte's character enjoying women, food and poker, there isn't much character work there.
I guess I'm overthinking it, and for some of these names, the show's popularity will seal the deal, but I wonder if anyone feels the same way - that none of the guest and Vesga really strikes out as "Emmy-worthy".
