Anyone else facing a huge influx of scams messages?
In recent months, it seems like I'm faced with a new scam or 'digital begger'.
A man who claims to have met me 3 years ago in a Barkat Market and I gave him my number, doesn't have a job, 'malik makan bacho k samne galia deta he, nikal de ga', I remembered giving my number (or my mind played tricks on me), the guy seemed genuine at first and I helped him a bit, and yet he kept on pushing for more. Started calling me day n night, in our conversations things started feeling fishy so I ended up telling him off and to stop calling me. He doesn't, and then I block his number, and the guy finds 5 new numbers to call me from, I keep blocking them and telling him off. Yet he finds 5 more.
And then the regular ol' 'sar State Bank se baat kr rhe he apka bank bnd hojaye ga' scams.
Posted my bike on OLX and (someone pretending to be) a girl with a US number but being from England? Told them I won't be holding the bike for them and they start wanting to be a 'friend'.
And then there's a unusual amount of indrive guys and foodpanda guys who call you later with some financial trouble facing them...
At this point I've become so in-sensitized that I feel if a person with genuine problems reached out to me, he'd get ignored because of how much spam Im getting.
