A phantom island stayed on maps for centuries—even though it never existed.

I recently learned about "phantom islands"—places that appeared on official maps for hundreds of years, leading explorers to believe they were real.
As navigation improved and the oceans were surveyed more accurately, some of these islands turned out to have never existed at all. Historians think many were caused by navigation errors, optical illusions, or mistakes that were copied from one map to another.
I made a 30-second YouTube Short explaining this mystery because I found it fascinating.
