If Meghan was another minority instead (like South Asian/Latina or East Asian), would her treatment by the media be any different and would she have left the royal family?

I think if she were south Asian, she would face even more hate. Also people would expect her to be the voice to apologize for colonialism and return historical artifacts to India. As a royal she would be prevented from speaking out or even issuing an apology so she would get massive criticism from the media and anti colonial groups. It would be a lose lose situation but so delightful for the UK media to have drama to pounce on.
