888 Binaural Beats Plus a Breathing Routine for Anxious Evenings
On rough evenings I reach for 888 binaural beats and a few slow breaths instead of doomscrolling.
To be clear I am skeptical of the bigger claims, 888 binaural beats are not healing my nervous system and none of this is medical advice. What actually calms me down is pairing the soft tone with paced breathing, where the sound is just a steady anchor while I slow my exhale. The tone does not need to be loud, it sits under my breath work in headphones and gives my mind one neutral thing to rest on. That combination takes the edge off far better than the tone alone ever did.
The breathing does the work, the tone anchors it.
I use an app called Mindael because it has a breathe guide I can run while the tone plays underneath, so I am not juggling two apps. Mindael lets me keep the beat quiet and the guide front and center.

Pair the tone with slow breathing and keep expectations realistic, Mindael is what I use for both. What helps you settle on an anxious night?
