My current Knight/incident theory (Chapter 5 spoilers)

Spoiler:deltarune:Deltarune Chapter 5

So after this chapter I started to think that Toby is trying to tell us something: With the Pink boss. That a Ghost can inhabit a body, and make it move, and the body will then still have a Prescence in the dark world.

I think this a vital clue to the knights identity, we're supposed to infer this is a Kris/Trans Allegory but I have come to a new conclusion.

Chapter 1 mentions "The knights hand" or "The shadow of the knights hand".

Chapter 3 has that black triangle that you look at and feel like you can't see your hand.

The shadow crystal in chapter 4 mentions how you can see through your own hand.

And now in Chapter 5 we learn that shadow crystals are lost dreams, Split from the one who made the fountain.

The knight is always very quick, and does things in a massive hurry, resorting to summoning a titan.

Ralsei says that they can't sense the knight at all in this chapter, but even at the end we see the knight summons a fountain at the EXACT time they need it to kidnap Asgore. They were there observing the entire time.

Something organic, but not necessarily living has a special existence that can split off.

Kris' hand. It's severed from them. It appears and does kris' bidding separate from the soul. We are never told this because everyone talks about "The incident" but never mentions what the incident was.

Kris lost his hand. That was the incident. He has a prosthetic, but nobody mentions it.

Noelle talks about Kris changing, because to her, we've gotten rid of Kris' PTSD from losing their hand. Kris' hand was lost in the dark world, and has been acting on their orders the entire time, all in the aim of saving Dess who was completely lost in the same incident. Asriel went to university and fled out of shame from being unable to protect their brother and love interest.
