🍍 Hi… do you love SpongeBob? (Bloggers & writers especially)
Quick question — do you ever write about things people instantly recognise?
Because SpongeBob is one of those rare ones.
SpongeBob SquarePants has that universal pull — people don’t just recognise it, they engage with it.
It’s familiar, it’s fun, and it works across ages, which is exactly what you want when you’re creating content that people actually stay on.
Fun fact: he was originally going to be called “SpongeBoy”… which probably wouldn’t have had quite the same impact.
If you’re writing blog posts, guides, or roundups (party ideas, room décor, pop culture, kids themes, event planning, anything visual really), SpongeBob-style content tends to:
- Increase time on page
- Get shared more easily
- Add something instantly recognisable to your content
It’s one of those small additions that can make a post feel more engaging without overcomplicating it.
So I’m curious:
Have you ever included something like SpongeBob in your content — and did it make a difference?
