Just finished watching for the first time...

Long Post!

Binge-watched the middle. Here are some of my random thoughts and the things I liked/disliked (I love watching sitcoms)-

Characters-

Brick-(I read that the actor isn't a decent human, but am only talking about the character here) One of the funniest character in the series. I browsed the reddit and found out the majority actually hated the character but he seemed the most mature even when he was the weird one (like when he texts Axl to call Dad when Mike was missing him). Hated how he got treated by his family (like when Mike yells at him in the coupon episode where he was basically just spending time with him, or when Frankie screams that he hates her during his bday celebration when he is talking about the things he liked, or when they both do nothing on his day of weekend etc etc). Even Sue and Axl didn't treat him good.

Sue- Good character, but inconsistent. For someone who wanted to be shown as all-good, she is inconsiderate and selfish a lot of times. Especially to Frankie. Does have her funny moments though.

Axl- Couldn't stand the character in the earlier seasons. Boring and annoying. Even in later seasons only a few funny or heartfelt scenes, rest were still just him being a jerk to everybody.

Frankie- The heart of the show. Acting is top-notch and her scenes are actually funny.

Mike- A good father in some episodes (at least to Sue and Axl), not a good one in some. A grounded character necessary to make the series work.

Funniest side characters- Rusty!! Every scene he is in is gold!

Funniest one time line (don't remember exactly but)- "Auction started at $600 and went to $800 until we realised we are the only ones bidding"

Favorite recurring line - "And so on and so forth and what have you"

"Whoop!" *Whispers - "I am lying!"

Anyways, was an unserious happy watch, exactly what I was in the mood to binge. Won't be favourite or even in top 10, but gave me enough laughs and am thankful for it 😄.
