Anyone else getting flooded with Turkish posts?

I don't even follow any Turkish accounts, but my timeline keeps getting flooded with Turkish posts. I've hit "Not Interested" countless times and even blocked accounts, but it never seems to stop. Is anyone else experiencing this? It's so annoying. Is the Turkish Government paying Twitter to promote their country's users?
