I'm a big dork nerd with a soft heart, way too much love to give, and more hobbies than I have time or money for.
Gaming is probably the biggest one. I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember, and thanks to ADHD I'll happily hyperfocus on one game for weeks (or months) before jumping to something completely different. I play a little bit of everything, but first-person shooters tend to be my comfort zone. The only genres I've never really clicked with are fighting games and Soulslikes. I've given them plenty of chances over the years, but they're just not for me. If they're your thing though, I'll happily watch you play while cheering you on.
Anime is another huge part of my life. Whenever someone asks what kind of anime I watch, the answer is usually "yes." Action, romance, slice-of-life, drama, comedy—I'm pretty much down for all of it. My biggest weakness is absolutely terrible isekai anime. The worse it is, the more likely I am to watch it.
When I'm not gaming or watching anime, you'll usually find me wandering through YouTube, collecting recipes on TikTok, or watching cat videos. I love cooking and trying new dishes, and one of my current goals is learning to make homemade pho. Honestly, I could probably eat pho three times a week for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.
As for hobbies I'd love to spend more time on: I bought my first box of Warhammer miniatures and managed to assemble them, but haven't gone much further because that hobby can get expensive fast. I've also tried getting back into Pokémon cards, but the scalping situation has been rough. Magic: The Gathering still interests me too, though every time I visit a game store it feels like half the players think they're competing for a world championship title. Somewhere in storage I also have a bunch of knife-making tools, and I'd love to get back into that hobby when I have the room for it.
So yes, I'm nerdy. I have nerd hobbies. I shower regularly. And chances are I'll be interested in hearing about your nerd hobbies too.
Personality-wise, I'm affectionate, caring, grounded, and very communication-oriented. I want someone who's genuinely excited to have found me. If we're dating, you're probably getting a good morning message because you'll be one of the first things on my mind when I wake up. I value effort, consistency, and communication. Long stretches of silence, one-word responses, and feeling like I'm carrying the entire conversation aren't things I'm interested in anymore.
I do need reassurance sometimes, and I ask questions when I'm trying to understand how someone feels. In return, I'm constantly checking in with the people I care about because I genuinely want to know what's going on in their lives. Good communication isn't optional for me—it's the foundation of any relationship. I can't read minds, no matter how much my girlfriend and nesting partner occasionally accuse me of being able to read their moods from across the room.
A little about me physically: I've been on HRT, on and off, for about five years. I don't always present as especially feminine, and yes, I often have body hair because shaving is expensive and annoying.
Anyway, that's probably enough rambling for an introduction. If anything here caught your attention, come say hi. I'm happy to answer questions and get to know you.
