I just started using Minoxidil and I have a cat, any advice?

I'm 21yo, I saw that my hair was slowly falling, and one day at the barber he said to me "u know u blading right?" and I wasn't, so I used Minoxidil shampoo, didn't work, then i bought that one that is 5% in spray, I just started its been like a week, I was using it twice a day, but I read that it's toxic to cats, and I have one that is like 3months old, so now I changed to once a day, I wake up and I use it, I take shower at night, I wake up at 1 or 2 pm cuz I'm a chef so my job it's since 3pm to 11pm or 2am, so I use it at the very beginning of my day, it's ok doing it like that or should I do something different?
