[serious comments only] Male Erotica Writer just stumbling upon this Subreddit - I am Curious and have Questions

I guess the old rule is true. There is every kink, and a subreddit for every kink.

First off I am curious about the prevalence of this. If this is actually a thing. More so because I see a lot of more mainstream subreddits being taken over by AI slop, and looking at the captioned gifs and texts that are being posted here, this seems to be the case here, too.

I'm incredibly interested in getting to know someone who is into this. I would love to know why, but more importantly, how. I don't know how to put this into words, maybe this is my overall interest in psychology, maybe this comes from my inherent need to please as a partner and therefore to understand every bit of them, maybe it stems from how I have gotten into writing and my writing style when I still had a blog to publish.

So I used to write on a request basis and write short stories about everyday situations with someone's crush becoming a sexual reality, really focusing on the people involved and making these transitions to something sexual as believable as possible (within the bounds of a shorter story of course). Which entailed a long getting to know phase where I learned just how the person I was writing for thinks.

I would love to know people's "origin stories", so to speak. I am also not sure if asking this here is wanted or even wise. Maybe some people would like to share here, or privately. I apologize for maybe missing the mark and I hope I am not overstepping. Thank you!
