Thinking of Joining B.Sc.-M.Sc. Integrated Forensic Science at NFSU? Read This First
As a B.Sc.-M.Sc. Integrated Forensic Science student at NFSU Delhi, I'd advise prospective students to think carefully before choosing this course, especially if your primary goal is getting a good job in India.
Forensic Science is a very niche field. While it sounds exciting because of crime shows and investigations, the reality is quite different. The number of government vacancies is limited, recruitment is irregular, and private sector opportunities are also relatively few. Competition for every opening is extremely high.
Many students join expecting campus placements, but placements are limited and often don't match expectations. A significant number of graduates end up preparing for competitive exams or switching to other fields after completing the degree.
If your priority is employability, I'd recommend considering courses with broader career opportunities such as:
- B.Sc. Biotechnology
- B.Pharm
- B.Sc. Agriculture
- Microbiology
- Food Technology
- Nursing
- Allied Health Sciences
These fields offer opportunities in pharmaceuticals, biotech companies, hospitals, food industries, research labs, quality control, agriculture, and also have better prospects for higher studies and careers abroad.
Also i would like to add that if you think that you are getting very good marks and will get the main campus and everything will go well NO,that's exactly where you are dreaming there's not a confirmation that you will get internship you have to manage it all by yourself and find one..so I would advice if you are wealthy enough to give 65k fees per sem so you can go for more good option than this..rest all depends on you. It's better to be careful now than regret it later.
Your degree is an investment of 5 years. Choose wisely.
Dm if any queries.
