Is it okay for a relationship to start with lies ?

Hi 👋 so I saw some posts and comments about having past, and if we should talk about it or not, i just wanted to talk about my opinion on this, so from my experience any kind of human relationship that start or is built on lies can't last long, why ? You can't hide the truth forever. Yes, it's scary to talk about some mistakes we did or some parts of our lives but would accept if the other hid things from you and you discovered it 10/20 years later? How would you take it ? Do you think the relationship could survive it ? My opinion is that it's better to lose a relationship early because of a truth than having your lies exposed someday after the years and having kids, etc.

I'd like to hear your opinions, of course.
