Rubber scraper alternative?

I've starting transitioning all my cooking tools to wooden, but cant figure out what to use when baking and i have to scrape the side of a bowl. Ive never had a rubber spatula last longer than a couple years (they either start to fall apart, maybe dry rot? and pieces get in the food, or most recently they just tasted like plastic, like I couldnt lick cake batter off of them without the plastic taste).

Are there certain materials that are more durable than the standard rubber spatulas on a handle like a spoon?
